When I was a child, my mother read us a story serialized in the Cappers Weekly magazine. One summer while working at Mackinaw City in Michigan, I saw this book and recognized the title immediately and bought it. Mrs. Mike was Katherine Flannigan who married a Canadian Mountie. The book is a novel but Katherine Flannigan was a real person.
